Here the fine print:
The form around the map is used to adjust parameters influencing content and style of your calculated map. Above you are informed about actual zoom and center of the projection.
You decide, if you like to get color output, if the sailing turn Berlin-Sydney2000 should be included and if some basic grid should decorate the image.
On the left you choose a factor, the actual zoom should be multiplied with: x2 -> zoom into the map, /2 -> zoom out. Factor x1 does not change the zoom for the next map. Thatīs useful for scrolling through the map.
On the right you have the choice of different map projections.
There are two buttons:
recompute works as if you would click into the center of your map.
Select zoom factor x1 and you can play around with different settings. Zoom
factor x2 or /2 and you zoom in/out with your actual settings.
world is your reset button. If you get lost, world will set zoom=1 and the center to longitude=0, latitude=0. All other selections are not influenced.
The bottom row allows you to define the geographical content of the map. By choosing color output, different items will be displayed in different colors.
By clicking into the image the map will be recalculated with the center moved to the place you pointed at.
